Sam Oh is a distinguished professor for Global Affair at Sungkyunkwan University in Seoul Korea, the chair of ISO TC46/SC4 (Technical Interoperability), the executive director of Dublin Core Metadata Initiative, and the Ambassador for iSchools, Inc. He represents the National Library of Korea on the DCMI Governing Board. His teaching and research interests consist of data modeling, metadata design, and ontology modeling. He has consulted many companies and government sectors on various topics. He received his Ph.D. in Information Transfer from Syracuse University and worked for the Information School at the University of Washington for 4 years prior to taking his professorship at Sungkyunkwan University. |
