Programme
ANDRM Conference 2023 will be based on the overarching theme “Paying Our Debts to Memory: Preserving the Archives of the National Debt Redemption Movement”. The primary focus of the conference is to globalize the spirit of sharing and responsibility encapsulated in the National Debt Redemption Movement (NDRM) by enhancing the utilization of archival materials related to the movement.
The past two international conferences (2021, 2022) have brought together experts in the fields of archives, preservation, and data utilization to discuss the importance of archiving and preserving records, and what is necessary to utilize data. In the upcoming conference, we will discuss two specific sub-themes:
1) Advancement of Archival Systems
2) Sharing and Responsibility
While the previous conferences primarily focused on the archival materials of the NDRM, the 3rd conference aims to serve as a venue for interaction with relevant organizations, such as institutions with Memory of the World heritage, institutions archiving cultural heritage, and institutions considering the globalization of cultural heritage. It is about strengthening collaboration and overcoming difficulties together by sharing experiences and finding solutions.
